Vid submission deadline – Friday November 25th

Video submission  must be posted online before 11:59pm on Friday, November 25th. Team Application must be submitted and payment received by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 25th.

Live tryout on the Saturday of PCA Nationals, Powerade Centre, Brampton at 6:00 PM (November 26th). Please PRE-REGISTER with payment prior to attending. If you do not, please be sure to bring your Tryout Payment IN CASH.

COED Training Camp #1 – March 16th – 20th

COMBINED Training Camp #2 – April 13th – 17th Easter Weekend

  • Thursday – Travel & Practice 7pm

COMBINED Training Camp #3 – April 22nd – 25th  in Florida

  • Saturday – Travel & Practice 6pm

ICU World Championships – April 26th – April 28th ESPN Wide World of Sports

  • Wednesday – Opening Ceremonies
  • Thursday – Preliminary Competition
  • Friday – Final Championships


What is provided by Team Canada Cheer:

  • An amazing experience as a member of the 2016-17 National Team Program
  • Travel and housing costs for Camp 1 & Camp 2
  • Housing and ground transportation for Camp 3
  • Housing (up to Thurs April 27) and ground transport through ICU Championships
  • Extensive Team Canada Uniform and Apparel package from ProCheer
  • Professional medical care at all Training Camps and Competitions by certified Athletic Therapists & Physio Therapists from Cheer Smart, Back on Track and Cheer Med
  • Liability and Sport Accident Insurance for all Team Canada Activities
  • Out-of-Country medical insurance from Saturday April 21st – Friday April 28th


What is not provided by the CCU program during the process:

  • Food during all training camps and through competition week
  • Travel or accommodation for athletes within a 100km radius of local camps
  • Airfare to/from Florida
  • Accommodation on Friday April 28th (as many athletes join their All-Star Teams)
  • Extension of out-of-country medical if an athlete’s stay is extended


What must also be provided by the athlete:

  • 100% Effort and a team focused attitude
  • Desire to meet and exceed all expectations of coaches and the team related to mental and physical preparedness.
  • Achieving fundraising goal in order to ensure payments are received by CCU staff on or before each deadline.


    • Sadly, you must be a resident, landed immigrant or citizen of Canada to be apart of Team Canada. Not every country requires this, but we feel to be a true national team we think it’s important to hold this standard. Best of luck with everything.

    • Group stunt has the option of coming to home camp. Its generally discussed with the group once selected to determine what makes sense for their training schedule.

    • We will be selecting groups and partners stunts at the end of March. The announcement will be made on March 22nd. Application form and information is now updated.
